(Vancouver, Canada – September 30, 2010) SydneyPLUS LawPort, dominant supplier of KM SharePoint Portal solutions to top law firms, has just released a suite of notable enhancements, including advanced registration capabilities, to its acclaimed Continuing Legal Education Portal (CLE).
The problem of planning for the rebuilding of workforces to pre-recession levels is a new and interesting trend commonly found in many firms. Not surprisingly, Continuing Legal Education is part of the solution. “As they emerge from the recession, organizations can’t afford to have employees with outdated skills on their front lines,” says David Smith, managing director of the Accenture Talent & Organization Performance.
CLE is based on the SydneyPLUS’s Information Manager platform. In readiness to be part of the upcoming post-recession professional development cycle, the most recent set of enhancements to the CLE Module focuses on increasing both the productivity of CLE support staff and the efficiency of the CLE system itself.
It hosts a set of features that improve everything from the delivery of online courses to tools that better measure course effectiveness. Some of the main capabilities are:
Auto course registration
Now the module can automatically manage course registrations reducing work on the part of trainers in maintaining wait lists and sending out reminders. The result is an increase in attendance on the part of end users leading ultimately to improving productivity and skill sets within organizations.
Single click workflows
Productivity is further improved with the provision of single-click registration when applying to one or more courses thereby eliminating the need to fill out any forms to register for a class.
Auto email responder
After registering for a class and as the date approaches, the CLE Module sends a confirmation e-mail to the participant that provides a calendar appointment in Outlook or Gmail to help users remember to attend the class. Another email is sent to the instructor allowing them to see how many seats have been filled.
Wait List manager
Any user that signs up after the course has been filled is added to a wait list, which is also automatically managed by the system.
“Our product offerings are always under continuous improvement. In the case of the CE module, our clients were asking us for enhancements that improve productivity. Thanks to this direct feedback, we have added advanced registration capabilities to the CE module,” says Alan Koop, Manager of R&D at SydneyPLUS.
